New Zealand went down without a fight on the fourth day getting bundled out for 175 in just an hour after the lunch break on the fourth day's play! The morning session itself saw as many as 7 wickets going down in 33 overs! All the bowlers with the exception of Sreesanth got amongst the wickets today for India. Rahul Dravid was named as the Man of the Match for his 191 while Harbhajan Singh who scored two centuries along with his wickets got the Man of the Series award. India with this innings and 198 runs victory have won the 3-Test Series 1-0.

The visitors who began the fourth day's play at 24 for 1 lost Brendon McCullum very early when he went back to an full length arm ball in the 14th over from Pragyan Ojha which struck his pad plumb infront. Ojha in his next ball of a new over got Martin Guptill out for a first ball duck with a turning ball which hit the pad infront of middle. It however turned out to be a wrong lbw decision from Simon Taufel with the ball pitching outside leg. Night watchman Gareth Hopkins was the next to go after getting his inside edge off a flick shot was brilliantly caught one handed by Gambhir. Harbhajan got this wicket with a sharp turning off break to leave New Zealand at 62 for 4 in the 21st over.

In the 29th over, Ross Taylor (29) got a shocking bat pad catch decision from Umpire Nigel Llong that ended his hopes for a much needed big score. Taylor didn't get any inside edge onto the pad while trying to flick Harbhajan on the frontfoot but the Umpire thought otherwise to give that out wrongly. In the 36th over, Kane Williamson had his stumps shattered by a short of length delivery from Ishant Sharma which stayed extremely low and then in the 40th over, Jesse Ryder (22) charged down the track but only to smack Suresh Raina straight into the hands of mid off.

By Lunch, India had the wicket of Daniel Vettori after the New Zealand Captain got plumb infront going back to a skidding full ball from Raina. New Zealand went to Lunch at 140 for 8. There were some fireworks after the break from Tim Southee before Ishant defeated his attempted hoick over mid wicket to clean up the woodwork. Southee departed after an entertaining 31 from 25 balls which had three sixes. The very next ball after this, no. 11 Chris Martin didn't bother getting behind the line to an indipper from Ishant to get clean bowled to end the Test Match.
