India’s fastest bowler Umesh Yadav is finally back on the cricket field after an injury lay off. Yadav who has the ability to clock speeds of 150 kmph had broken down after the Ahmedabad Test against England last November. The Vidarbha speedster suffered a stress reaction in his back. Yadav had already suffered a stress fracture three years ago and had come out of it.

The 25-year-old Umesh Yadav, who is easily India’s best fast bowler at present, will return to action today by playing for Vidarbha in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament. He will then play in the IPL for the Delhi Daredevils. Yadav who has been out of action for about four months has played 9 Tests, 17 ODIs and a lone T20I so far. India would be hoping that Umesh Yadav will fly to South Africa after the IPL to boost their bowling attack.
