Australia have declared the playing 11 for first Ashes Test match at Brisbane and have got in Peter Siddle in place of Doug Bollinger as the third bowler. Bollinger hasn’t been given a place in this squad as he makes way for fast bowler Siddle. Bollinger had got himself hurt while playing first Test in India. Lack of enough practice for him is being cited as the reason behind his ouster from the squad. Siddle made it to the squad as the third pacer along with Mitchell Johnson and Ben Hilfenhaus. As a reprise to the home team which is battling with injury concerns, Michael Clarke has been declared fit. Spinner Xavier Doherty will debut for Australia in this match. Doherty had impressed everyone with his performance in domestic circuits in past one year and earned a place in this squad ahead of Nathan Hauritz, who was struggling with his form and had to sit out in favor of the young spinner.
