Finally, the war between swashbuckling left-hander Chris Gayle and the West Indies Cricket Board seems to be over. The Jamaican destroyer has been named in West Indies Squad for the NatWest One-Day Series against England starting this month.

Finally, the war between swashbuckling left-hander Chris Gayle and the West Indies Cricket Board seems to be over. The Jamaican destroyer has been named in West Indies Squad for the NatWest One-Day Series against England starting this month. It now breaks the 15-month exile from international cricket for Chris Gayle!

According to the WICB Site, Chairman of the Selection Panel, Clyde Butt has been quoted as “Chris is a player of proven quality and we are looking forward to him adding this dimension to the side and his contributions as a senior member of the squad.”

West Indies could fancy its chances of atleast winning the 3-ODI Series now that it boasts of world class players like Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Smith, Dwayne Bravo, Andre Russell and Sunil Narine.
