Gujarat bowled first in the match against Lucknow and Mohammed Shami was next to unplayable as he finished with figures of 3 for 25. Shami dismissed KL Rahul for a first-ball duck and also sent back Quinton de Kock and Manish Pandey cheaply. They could not make much of an impression against Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni though and that is one area they will be keen to improve on. Varun Aaron and Hardik Pandya went for plenty of runs.
GT did not get off to a good start in the chase as Shubman Gill and Vijay Shankar perished cheaply while Matthew Wade looked out of sorts during his 29-ball stay. Hardik Pandya shone briefly before falling to his brother in the opposite camp. No changes expected as such.
GT’s Predicted XI: Shubman Gill, Matthew Wade (wk), Vijay Shankar, Abhinav Manohar, Hardik Pandya (c), David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Lockie Ferguson, Varun Aaron, Mohammed Shami
Delhi’s bowling was impressive against MI, with Kuldeep Yadav putting up a game-changing performance. Their top and middle-order struggled a bit before Lalit Yadav and Axar Patel came in and turned the tide. DC will continue to miss the Aussie duo of David Warner and Mitchell Marsh, who aren’t available yet. The latter has picked up another injury.
DC’s predicted XI: Prithvi Shaw, Tim Seifert, KS Bharat, Rishabh Pant (c & wk), Rovman Powell, Lalit Yadav, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Khaleel Ahmed, Kuldeep Yadav, Mustafizur Rahman
Top fantasy picks for GT vs DC clash: Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Mohammed Shami, Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav
