Sourav Ganguly's comments on India Team Selection in the ongoing Commonwealth Bank Tri Series 2012

Former India Captain and TV Commentator Sourav Ganguly has advised the Indian Team management to play Manoj Tiwary and Irfan Pathan in tomorrow’s second match of the CB Tri-Series against Sri Lanka at Perth. Dada says that along with Suresh Raina, one spinner can be removed to accommodate Manoj Tiwary and Irfan Pathan in the XI.

Sourav GangulyGanguly wants Irfan Pathan in the place of one of the spinner for Wednesday’s match against Sri Lanka. That move he thinks will give variety to the Indian bowling attack. Ganguly adds that India is playing with too many spinners. He also questions why India is not including Manoj Tiwary who had hit a century in his previous match against the West Indies. On form, Ganguly feels that Manoj Tiwary should be there in the XI instead of a struggling Suresh Raina.

The former India Skipper also wants Virender Sehwag to be back in the team feeling that he is a crucial factor at the top of the order. Sehwag was rested according to MS Dhoni in the first ODI against Australia at Melbourne which India lost by 65 runs.
