The three day tour game between a fringe Mumbai outfit and an England XI ended in a draw today at the Dr DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

The three day tour game between a fringe Mumbai outfit and an England XI ended in a draw today at the Dr DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

After bowling out Mumbai A for 286 in the morning, England XI batted out for 52 overs on the final day to score 149 for 2. Opening batsman Nick Compton crawled his way to an unbeaten 64 (from 162 balls with 6 fours). The day’s play also saw England polishing off the Mumbai A first innings with left-arm spinners Monty Panesar and Samit Patel finishing with three wickets each.

Nick ComptonEngland will be playing another tour game ahead of the opening Test at Ahmedabad. The tourists will play a 4-day match against Haryana at Ahmedabad from the 8th.
