The Delhi Capitals (DC) will take on the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in match number 41 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday. This will be a day game and hence will begin at 7:30 PM IST. Delhi and Kolkata are in the second half of the points table. While DC are seventh with three wins and four losses, KKR are eighth having lost their last four matches in a row.
Having suffered back-to-back defeats against Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals will be keen to seal their play-offs berth when they face Sunrisers Hyderabad in match number 47 of IPL 2020 at Dubai on Tuesday. Despite the two losses, Delhi are comfortably placed with 14 points from 11 matches. Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, dealt their chances a major blow by failing to chase down 127 against Kings XI Punjab. With eight points from 11 matches, their chances of progressing to the play-offs are wafer thin.
Second-placed Delhi Capitals will look to get back on the winning track when they face fourth-placed Kolkata Knight Riders in the 42nd match of IPL 2020 at Abu Dhabi on Saturday. Well placed with 14 points from 10 matches, Delhi came up with a half-hearted effort against the ever-improving Kings XI Punjab in their previous encounter to go down by five wickets. Their opponents for Saturday, Kolkata Knigh Riders, also have plenty of work to do, as they were hammered by eight wickets by Royal Challengers Bangalore at the same venue where they will face Delhi.
Buoyed by the sensational Super Over win over Mumbai Indians in their previous encounter, Kings XI Punjab would me much more confident when they come up against table-toppers Delhi Capitals in match number 38 of IPL 2020 match in Dubai on Tuesday.
