Stuart Broad out of India T20s; James Harris to replace him

England’s T20 Captain Stuart Broad has been ruled out of the 2-match series against India which follow the Nagpur Test. Broad has sustained a recurring heel injury.

Stuart BroadEngland’s T20 Captain Stuart Broad has been ruled out of the 2-match series against India which follow the Nagpur Test. Broad has sustained a recurring heel injury. The fast bowling all-rounder who was dropped in the Kolkata Test missed the ongoing fourth Test because of the injury. Along with the other injured fast bowler Steven Finn, Broad will fly back home for rehabilitation.

Middle order batsman Eoin Morgan has been named as the Captain of the T20 side because of the injury to Broad. 22-year-old Middlesex pacer James Harris has been given a maiden call to the English team as the replacement of Broad. Harris is already in India as part of the England Performance Programme squad which is currently lodged in Pune.
