Eoin Morgan: Thank you. Outstanding performance from the boys. The most impressive was our batting. Wasn't the easiest of tracks to bat. When dew came later, Buttler was excellent. Our young bowling attack stepped up to take regular wickets throughout the innings. It's great to see that we have chased 350 in a couple of games (earlier on against NZ). Our bowlers are learning all the time. Spinners coming in to bowl was a really key moment in the game. Our spinners did a very good job too. Moeen and Rashid are always learning. Hales took a nice couple of catches after the one he dropped. This team has a lot of character. I thank all the supporters. Thanks everyone. Azhar Ali: When you're chasing 250+, somebody has to score a 100 or a 200. Big innings was missing. We were going along with the run rate but no big innings from anyone. It'll take time but our aim is to do well. It's a big loss. Congrats to England, they played some very good cricket. But we played poorly and it's been disappointing. When a player like Buttler gets stuck, it's difficult. Credit should be given to him but we could have done better in the last few overs. |
