Indian pace spearhead Zaheer Khan and Kerala seamer S Sreesanth have been ruled out of the forthcoming Test series against the West Indies scheduled to start from May 20.
The BCCI in its media release on Friday revealed that the two bowlers will be given enough time to recover from their respective injuries. Karnataka's medium pacer Abhimanyu Mithun and Uttar Pradesh's swing bowler Praveen Kumar have been named as their replacements.
Zaheer has a problem in his right ankle whereas Sreesanth, too, is carrying an elbow injury.
Zaheer Khan was one of the senior members who opted out for the ODI series in the Caribbean after taking part in the World Cup and Indian Premier League season four.
