Saurashtra pulled off a 97-run win on the third day itself in their Ranji Elite match against hosts Railways at the Karnail Singh Stadium in Delhi. It was a low scoring game in the Country's Capital with the first day seeing 18 wickets go down.

It was a low scoring game in the Country's Capital with the first day seeing 18 wickets go down, the second day also another 18 wickets go down and as a result the match got all over on the third day morning itself!
Batting first after winning the toss, Saurashtra were bowled out for 175 and they bounced back by bundling out Railways for just 81 to pick up a sizeable first innings lead. In their second innings, Saurashtra could manage only 152 on board but that was enough for them to set up a stiff target of 247. Ravindra Jadeja followed up his six-wicket haul with a crucial 45 for the visitors.
Railways in their run chase were staring at defeat as they finished Day 2 at 97 for 6. They finished at 149 in 51.1 overs this morning to lose the match by a big margin. There was a fighting knock by lower order batsman Ashish Yadav (50 from 79 balls with 8 fours) that went in vain. For Saurashtra, off spinner Kamlesh Makvana picked up five wickets while left armer Ravindra Jadeja rounded off his superb all-round show with four more wickets.
