England will host the 8-nation ICC Champions Trophy 2013 which will be the last edition of the tournament. The ICC had made a decision to have just the one global tournament for each format of the game from 2015 onwards.

England will host the 8-nation ICC Champions Trophy 2013 which will be the last edition of the tournament. The ICC had made a decision to have just the one global tournament for each format of the game from 2015 onwards.

The last edition of the Champions Trophy will be held from June 6 to 23rd. the venues for the group matches are going to be Cardiff, Edgbaston and The Oval. The two Semi Finals will be played at The Oval and Cardiff and the Final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 will be held at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

The 2013 Champions Trophy will be the 7th and last edition of this tournament which was for the first two editions known as the ICC Knock Out Trophy. The tournament has been held every two years and of late has lost its importance. The last ICC Champions Trophy was held in South Africa in 2009 in which Australia defeated New Zealand to clinch the title for a second time in a row.

With the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy to be held in the UK, England will become the only country to host this tournament twice!
