Hosts Rajasthan eased to an innings and 56-run victory in their Ranji Elite match against Orissa at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Orissa lost as many as 12 wickets on the third day to see an early finish to the match.

Orissa began Day 3 at a poor position of 76 for 6 in their first innings staring at a huge total of 423 from the hosts. It took just the 42.5 overs for Rajasthan to bowl out Orissa for 134 and thus enforcing the follow-on. There was a fighting unbeaten 52 (from 82 balls with 9 fours) from GovindPodder for Orissa. Medium pacer SumitMathur finished with 5 for 30 for the hosts.
Orissa in their second innings after following on fared slightly better putting up 233 in 63.5 overs but could not avoid the inevitable defeat. Wicket Keeper Opener SubhrajitSahoo with 55 (from 100 balls with 8 fours) and Skipper BiplabSamantray with 82 (from 100 balls with 12 fours and a six) held the fight for sometime for the visitors. For Rajasthan, the hero with the ball in the second innings was medium pacer Rituraj Singh who claimed a career-best of 6 for 75.
