Pune Warriors suffered their sixth consecutive defeat and this time went down to hosts Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur by 6 wickets. It was an exciting finish for Rajasthan Royals which was due to an unbroken 5th wicket stand of 58 between Man of the Match Ross Taylor and Ajinkya Rahane. Royals needing 144 for a win were in a fix at 92 for 4 at the start of the 15th over but a carnage of 47 not out from 35 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes from Ross Taylor broke the hearts of Pune Warriors. Leg Spinner Rahul Sharma's efforts of 3 for 13 in 4 overs went in vain for Pune Warriors who earlier were restricted to 143 for 7 after being asked to bat first.
The top scorer for Pune Warriors was Robin Uthappa who settled for a cameo of 35 from 21 balls with 7 fours and thus failing to convert it into a bigger score. Watson was the pick of the bowlers for Rajasthan Royals conceding only 19 in his 4 overs and taking a wicket.
