Durban: The Indian team's arrival at the coastal city of Durban on Thursday for the second Test against South Africa may again turn out to be a damp affair with rain forecast for the next four-five days.
The local met department, however, predicts it should clear up after Christmas and should not spoil the Test.
India were done in by similar weather that prevailed at the start of the first Test at Centurion, which the visitors lost by an innings and 25 runs after being bundled out for 136 in their first innings.
Similar conditions preceding the second Test at Durban are sure to hamper pitch preparation and influence decision of the captain winning the toss.
Occasional storms and showers are predicted in run-up to the Christmas Day but the Boxing day is expected to be mostly sunny.
