England and West Indies will kick off a new Test Series from tomorrow at Lord’s. It is going to be a 3-match Test Series between the two teams. While the 1st Investec Test will begin tomorrow at the Mecca of Cricket in Lord’s, the next two Tests will be played at Trent Bridge in Nottingham and Old Trafford in Edgbaston.
The three Test Series will be followed up by three NatWest ODIs and an only NatWest International T20. There is no doubt that England will be the favourites to win the 3-match Test Series. England at home are a very formidable side and after a couple of bad Test Series in Asia, they will be looking to bounce back strongly under Skipper Andrew Strauss.
West Indies have a pretty inexperienced side led by underrated all-rounder Darren Sammy. Although there is some potential in the batting line-up, most of the players are yet to find their feet in international cricket. The entire batting of the West Indies will heavily rely on the 37-year-old Shivnarine Chanderpaul! On the bowling front, West Indies look more than a decent outfit with the likes of Ravi Rampaul, Kemar Roach, Fidel Edwards, Skipper Darren Sammy and off spinner Shane Shillingford.
These Test and ODI Series will be more of a warm-up for the English boys ahead of their big clashes at home against Australia and South Africa which are up next.
