India's temperamental fast bowler S Sreesanth was again involved in an exchange of words with Australian captain Ricky Ponting during the warm-up game for the World Cup here on Sunday.

Sreesanth, who came in the 15-member squad in place of an injured Praveen Kumar, had a heated exchange of words with Ponting twice during the latter's 57 of 85 balls at the packed Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Ponting, who is making a return to international cricket after injuring his finger in the second Ashes Test last December, was beaten on quite a few occasions in the 10th over by Sreesanth.

An excited Sreesanth then walked up to Ponting to say a few words and the Australian also responded. In the very next delivery, Sreesanth's loud shout for caught behind was turned down by the umpire the Kerala speedster expressed his frustration.

Sreesanth ended with figures of 1/21 from his five overs.
