India's opener Virender Sehwag completed his 1,000 runs against Pakistan in One-day Internationals (ODIs) when he drove the second ball of the World Cup semifinal, bowled by Umar Gul, to the cover boundary at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium here on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old Delhi player became the sixth Indian batsman to score 1,000 runs or more in ODIs against Pakistan.

The other five are Mohammad Azharuddin (1,657), Sachin Tendulkar (2,414 before Wednesday's match), Rahul Dravid, Saurav Ganguly (1,652) and Yuvraj Singh (1,251).

After Wednesday's innings, Sehwag reached 1,036. He has hit two hundreds and six 50s against the arch-rivals.
