Sunrisers Hyderabad got their first win in three attempts in this edition of the IPL when they prevailed over the Delhi Daredevils by 2 runs in Match 12 at Dubai. This is now the third defeat for Delhi Daredevils in four games.

It was a high-scoring contest on a flat surface. Sunrisers batting first got off to a splendid start of 56 for 1 in 6.2 overs. Skipper Shikhar Dhawan got back into form scoring 33 from 22 balls with 5 fours and a six. Aaron Finch with 88 not out from 53 balls with 8 fours and 4 sixes carried the innings forward with a big unbroken stand of 128 with fellow Australian David Warner.

SRH piled up their highest ever total in IPL which was 184 for 1. David Warner overcame a slow start to score an unbeaten 58 from 45 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes.

Delhi Daredevils got off to an ideal start from its openers Quinton de Kock (48 from 30 balls) and Murali Vijay (52 from 40 balls). But both the openers fell in succession to open the door for an SRH comeback.

The required run rate shot up as Dinesh Karthik and Skipper Kevin Pietersen consumed quite a lot of deliveries to get going. And in the crunch situation both the batsmen got out leaving the pair of JP Duminy and Manoj Tiwary to do the improbable task of scoring 49 runs in the last three overs!

Toss and Teams: Sunrisers Hyderabad have won the toss and opted to bat first in Match 12 of IPL 7 against the Delhi Daredevils. Kevin Pietersen finally plays his first game after recovering from an injury. He along with Parnell, Quinton de Kock, Laxmi Ratan Shukla replace Ross Taylor, Neesham, Coulter-Nile and Mayank Agarwal. For SRH, Naman Ojha comes in for Irfan Pathan.
