Kings XI Punjab registered their second win of IPL 10 defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore by eight wickets in the game on Monday.
Chasing RCB's 148 for 4, Punjab eased to 150 for 2 in 14.3 overs as Bangalore were handed their second defeat in the series.
Even as RCB struggled with the bat, de Villiers was at his incredible best, slamming 89 from 46 balls with as many as nine sixes. Only Mandeep Singh (28) made a somewhat significant contribution among the others.
For Punjab, Varun Aaron was very good with 2/21. Kings began solidly with the bat courteous Hashim Amla (58*) and Manan Vohra (34), who kept Bangalore bowling at bay.
Captain Glenn Maxwell again starred with a blistering 43 not out off 22 balls.
After Amla and Vohra put on 62 runs, Amla and Maxwell featured in a 72-run stand to end the game.
