Full Scorecard

Batting first, Chennai Super Kings had a steady start in the first 10 overs. Michael Hussey anchored the innings with an unbeaten 65 from 50 balls (with 6 fours and 2 sixes). Suresh Raina with 30 (from 32 balls) and Skipper MS Dhoni with a smashing 44 (from 23 balls with 5 fours and a six) played their part in helping the Delhi Daredevils to 169 for 4.

The run chase was a disaster for the Delhi Daredevils with David Warner dragging a pull onto his stumps off lesser known medium pacer Mohit Sharma. Mahela Jayawardene got out lbw to a skiddy delivery from Chris Morris and then Virender Sehwag got caught at deep mid wicket trying to play a big pull off Mohit Sharma. At 30 for 4 in the 6th over, the writing was on the wall for a Delhi defeat.

CSK wasted little time and pegged away at the wickets to bowl out the Daredevils for a paltry 83 in 17.3 overs. Kedar Jadhav did some damage control for the hosts with a 28-ball 31. For CSK, Mohit Sharma claimed 3 for 10, Ashwin took 2 for 18 while all the other bowlers chipped in with a wicket each.
