Australia finished a 5-0 whitewash over West Indies after defeating the visitors by 17 runs in a tense contest at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. It was a second consecutive defeat for the Windies despite one of their batsmen scoring a century, this time it was opener Johnson Charles’ efforts going in vain.

Australia finished a 5-0 whitewash over West Indies after defeating the visitors by 17 runs in a tense contest at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. It was a second consecutive defeat for the Windies despite one of their batsmen scoring a century, this time it was opener Johnson Charles’ efforts going in vain. Australia’s memorable victory was set up by a brilliant century from Adam Voges which came under pressure with the hosts reduced at 82 for 4 in the 25th over after being asked to bat first by Sammy.

Toss and Teams: West Indies have won the toss and asked Australia to bat first in the Fifth and Final ODI at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Michael Clarke is out of this game with a hamstring injury. Shane Watson takes over the captaincy in his absence. Xavier Doherty has replaced Glenn Maxwell who has flown out to India already. West Indies have gone in with an unchanged side with Gayle still not fit.
