Pune Warriors India have acquired Australian Steven Smith for the upcoming DLF IPL-5. The 22-year-old Steven Smith who is a leg-spinning all-rounder replaces fellow Australian Mitchell Marsh in the Pune Warriors team. Mitchell Marsh is out of action for six months because of a back injury.
Steven Smith was last year bought by the now-defunct Kochi Tuskers Kerala but couldn’t play a single game in the IPL-4 because of an injury. The 22-year-old Steven Smith has already featured in 5 Tests, 29 ODIs and 20 T20Is for Australia.
