Match Highlights of New Zealand Vs South Africa, 2nd ODI at McLean Park, Napier

South Africa have sealed the 3-ODI Series against hosts New Zealand at Napier with one more match to go. The visitors eased to an emphatic 6-wicket win with as many as 70 balls to spare in the Second ODI today at the McLean Park in Napier.

The visitors gave themselves a bright chance after wrapping up the Kiwis for just 230 on what was a batting track. Morne Morkel captured five wickets to demolish the Kiwi batting in the last 15 or so overs in the afternoon. The run chase for the Proteas was eased through two solid partnerships revolving around opener Hashim Amla.

Hashim AmlaSouth Africa chased down the modest target of 231 in 38.2 overs with Hashim Amla leading the way with 92 (from 107 balls with 12 fours). Amla put up 69 runs for the 2nd wicket with Faf du Plessis (34 from 25 balls with 6 fours) and then followed it up with 87 runs for the 3rd wicket with JP Duminy (43 from 39 balls with 6 fours). Amla missed out on a easy century when he had edged a skidding delivery from leggie Tarun Nethula to the Wicket Keeper.

Morne Morkel bagged the Man of the Match award ahead of Hashim Amla for his bowling efforts early on.
