He was well supported by Mike Hussey, who made an unbeaten 39 from 26 balls. Suraj Randiv finished with excellent figures of 3 for 20 for Lanka. The Lankans’ batting was disastrous in response. They were all out for 87 in 16.2 overs. Tillakaratne Dilshan made 20 from 12 while Dinesh Chandimal contributed 19. Australia’s bowling was brilliant, with Mitchell Johnson claiming 3 for 15, Dirk Nannes 2 for 19 and Steven Smith 2 for 12.

West Indies batted first in this game, and put up a magnificent performance to finish with 205 for 4. Chris Gayle led the way with an unbeaten 75 from 41 balls. The knock was punctuated with 5 fours and 6 sixes. Gayle was well supported by Dwayne Bravo, who made 37 from 31 with 3 sixes and 38 from 15 from Kieron Pollard, also with 3 sixes. In response, George Bailey slammed 63 from 29 balls with 4 sixes, but Australia were restricted to 131 all out. Ravi Rampaul was the best Windies bowler with 3 for 16 while Badree, Narine and Pollard scalped two wickets each.
