IPL 10 will kick-off with last season’s surprise defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad taking on last season’s runner-up Royal Challengers Bangalore at home.
Sunrisers Hyderabad have retained the majority of the players instrumental in their win last year. In addition, they have chosen two Afghanistan players – Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi, who will be appearing in the IPL for the first time.
Royal Challengers Bangalore, on the other hand, will miss their captain and last season’s Orange Cap winner Virat Kohli. The franchise will also be without the services of AB de Villiers, who is recovering from injury.
KL Rahul has to undergo a surgery on his shoulder, so he will miss out as well. RCB have been constantly among the favourites but haven’t won the tournament yet. Tymal Mills, and 6ft 7in tall Australian speedster Billy Stanlake are some of their interesting signings.
