Reacting to India’s one-day series win over England, Team India captain Rohit Sharma admitted that he is very pleased. Conceding that England is not an easy place to win, the 35-year old said that they wanted to achieve this triumph.
Following India’s 100-run loss to England at Lord’s in the second one-dayer of the three-match ODI series, Indian captain Rohit Sharma admitted that his team’s batters let the side down. The Men in Blue needed a gettable 247 to clinch the series 2-0. However, England left-arm pacer Reece Topley claimed 6 for 24 as the visitors were bundled out for 146 in 38.5 overs. Not a single India batter reached the 30-run mark.

Former cricketer Parthiv Patel has opined that keeper-batter Rishabh Pant can open for India in the second T20I against England instead of Ishan Kishan. The second match will be played in Birmingham on Saturday. Pant did not feature in the first game as he was part of the rescheduled Test against England. The 24-year-old has been battling poor form in white ball cricket. However, he has been excellent in red ball cricket.
