Kuldeep Sen and Shahbaz Ahmed replace Yash Dayal and Ravindra Jadeja in India’s squad for ODI series in Bangladesh

Fast bowler Kuldeep Sen and all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed have been named as replacements for Yash Dayal and Ravindra Jadeja in India’s squad for the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh, which will be played in December. An official BCCI release on Wednesday, November 23 confirmed the changes.

While Dayal has been ruled out due to a lower back issue, Jadeja is yet to recover from his knee injury. He will thus continue to be under the supervision of the BCCI Medical team. Both Kuldeep and Shahbaz were earlier named in India’s ODI squad for the three-match series in New Zealand. However, they will now head to Bangladesh instead. While Shikhar Dhawan is captaining the team against the Kiwis, Rohit Sharma will be back as captain for the Bangladesh tour. Meanwhile, no replacements have been named for the ODI squad in New Zealand.

Jadeja has been out of action after picking up a knee injury during the Asia Cup. He also missed the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

The three India-Bangladesh one-dayers will be held on December 4, 7 and 10. Dhaka will host the first two games, while the third match will be played in Chattogram. The two-match Test series will be played from December 14 to 26 in Chattogram and Dhaka respectively.

The BCCI has also announced the team for India A's two four-day matches against Bangladesh A. The first four-day match will be played from November 29 to December 2 in Cox's Bazaar, while the second will be held from in Sylhet from December 6-9.
