Sunrisers Hyderabad ended their home ground campaign with a comprehensive win by 7 wickets with a couple of balls to spare against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Uppal Stadium.

Sunrisers Hyderabad ended their home ground campaign with a comprehensive win by 7 wickets with a couple of balls to spare against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Uppal Stadium.

Opener Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner put on a strong 100-run partnership to set up the run chase in favour of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Both the openers scored fifties. Shikhar Dhawan scored 50 from 39 balls with 7 fours and a six while David Warner stayed almost till the game was sealed with his knock of 59 from 46 balls. Warner’s knock contained 3 fours and 4 sixes.

Wicket Keeper Naman Ojha scored a crucial 24 from 20 balls while Finch and Sammy secured the SRH win with their finishing touches.

RCB innings: Royal Challengers Bangalore posted a competitive total of 160 for 6 after winning the toss and electing to bat first against hosts Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 46 of IPL 7 at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad.

Skipper Virat Kohli anchored the innings scoring 67 from 41 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes. AB de Villiers chipped in with 29 from 17 balls. For SRH, opening bowlers Bhuvneshwar Kumar (4-0-27-2) and Dale Steyn (4-0-23-0) bowled on a tight leash while off-spinner Parvez Rasool in his first IPL game this season bowled four quiet overs for just 26 runs besides the wicket of Yuvraj Singh.
